I can’t believe it’s August already! Since we returned from our trip from California, time has flown incredibly fast. I did not want to pass up the opportunity to share about how we managed to entertain our little girl on that last 5 hours plane trip.
From our trip to Indiana on December 2018 to our most recent one, only 6 months passed. On that ocassion Monica had just started walking and she was in full exploration mode. We spent that ocassion walking from one side of the plane to the other one looking at people.
6 months later, her emotional and cognitive development had taken huge advances. She has been showing more interest on keeping herself busy. She had also been showing a lot of interest in puzzles; so for many days I thought about what I could I bring in the toddler’s suitcase that didn’t weigh a ton and that it didn’t hurt too much if lost, until I finnaly got it : I would make an activity book.
I took a look on many resources on the internet, especially those from Teachers Pay Teachers, I chose my favorites and in the pictures below you can see the results. We also carried our tablet and lots of snacks. We had the perfect combination to engage her little mind by playing (an eating, lol). Some resources are free and others cost a few bucks, but every dollar was worth, since even now a few weeks after the trip, we still use them at home. She loves her little activity book and we are waiting on her to grow up a little more to add more challenges.
Take a look on the pictures and clic on the descriptions in case you want to get some of the activities!
